About Us
Established in 2019, the Literacy4life Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming underserved communities through the power of literacy. Our mission is simple yet profound: to empower lives and promote lifelong learning, one book at a time.
The Literator Newsletter
We will be embarking on an exciting journey with Literacy4life as we celebrate not only five years of impactful initiatives but also embrace the
dawn of a promising demi-decade. Download our January newsletter to get more insight about what we are up to!
Mission
To promote literacy in underserved communities
To deliver sustainable initiatives through collaborating with individuals and organisations that share the same vision.
To equip communities with resources that will develop a nation that communicates effectively.
Our Projects
Tswelopele correctional centre
We journeyed to the Tswelopele Correctional Centre in Northern Cape. Through collaboration with esteemed partners—the Nelson Mandela Foundation and the Department of Correctional Services—we breathed life into a day of enlightenment.
Bula Tsela primary school
Our endeavor led us to the heart of learning at Bula Tsela Primary School. Located in a vibrant community of Sebokeng, this school is a hub of young potential.
Listen to our journey
Throughout the years, we have collected interviews that tell our story, shared by all our supporters. We continue to gather these voices as we engage with communities and make a difference in the lives of African children. Browse through the collection to learn more about our journey.
